Pawn shops, jewelry dealers, and gold buyers pay a maximum of 75% (but good luck finding one that pays even that much) the market value for your scrap. Here at Exotic Elements the MINIMUM we pay is 80% for silver and an astounding 90% for gold. we can get such high payouts because you are selling directly to a refiner and skipping the middle man. In fact we are one of the only refinery’s that offers our services direct to the consumer.
Gemstone Removal and Payout
We provide precious gemstone removal for free. After our 10 day hold period is up on your items your removed gemstones will be bid on by our verified gemstone dealers we will then present you with the best offer. you can accept to sell the stones or have them returned to you. All we take is a small $30 fee from the offer given.
Payouts and Holds
Payment will be available immediately after our analysis of your material is complete. However as we are required by law to hold jewlery unmodified for a minimum of 10 calendar days it can be difficult to provide 100% accurate analysis if your material, if it contains lots of stones or non precious material like steel or leather inserts. To over come this, after initial analysis we will pay you out on a majority of the value of your scrap and hold the last bit of payment (10-25%) for 10-14 calendar days till a complete analysis can be taken with any non precious materials removed. This is the small compromise you may or may not have to take in order to get the best payout on your scrap. This is the reason most refinery’s wont buy from the general public. No hold will be necessary on lots that contains little stones, little non ferrous material, and no gold filled material.

We try to make the refining experience as streamline as possible for the consumer. As a way of accomplishing this we have very little fees so you know exactly what you will be paid. Any and all fees a user may encounter and what is needed to encounter each fee are listed below.
$30 gemstone bid fee: Selling any precious gemstones to one of our dealers you get their full offer -$30. (gemstone return is free)
$5-$30 material return fee: If a lot contains material with no significate precious metals such as plated material it can be returned to seller for $5-$30 (depending on size and weight).(Optional)
$25 fee for sending under the $100 minimum: We operate on very low margins to be able to provide the extremely high payouts we do. because of this we advertise a minimum send in value of your scrap to be $100. anything lower and we will be loosing money between the labor and shipping costs.
Gold Bullion / Coins get paid out up to 98% of market price
Payouts might be lower for alloys containing under 5% weight in gold and 50% weight in silver (gold filled material is usually 2-3% gold)
